Dr. Kirk Lewis serves as Superintendent of the Pasadena Independent School District, a position he has held since April, 2006. Over the past 26 years Dr. Lewis has served as the Deputy Superintendent for Administration, Public Relations and Governmental Affairs; Executive Director for Communications and Community Relations; and Administrative Assistant to the Superintendent.
Dr. Lewis holds three degrees: a Bachelor of Arts degree in Advertising/Public Relations from Texas Tech University, a Master of Science degree in Education Futures from the University of Houston-Clear Lake and a doctorate in Educational Leadership from Lamar University in Beaumont.
He is a deacon at South Main Baptist Church in Pasadena. He and his wife, Robin, have two sons, Adam, a teacher at Sam Rayburn High School, and Andrew, an electrical engineer for Dashiell Corporation in Houston.
